Yoga Benefits

Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated with its own philosophy in ancient India.  It is aimed at controlling body and mind to attain attain various salvation goals as practiced in Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist traditions.

It's not always about religious salvation in the traditional sense.  It's more about freeing yourself from things that cause you pain or unhappiness (stress/anxiety, negative thoughts/emotions, the feeling of being disconnected from yourself or others.
